A friend of mine... or actually i've just met her a few times and know that she was a former member of the musical theater group I am in now... was just cast as one of the leads in Lilttle Women just two weeks ago. She told us she was to start in June and my group and I and everyone else from our theater were soooooo excited for her. Now we here it's closing. Do you think the same peopple who hired her would give her an oppurtunity for maybe the tour or somethhing else? Or is it just tough luck and see when the next time a once-in-a-lifetime oppurtunity like this comes along again?

It's certainly possible that she might be asked to join the touring cast.
Well if the show is going on next week it's going on without Sutton Foster who will not even be in the city.
Are you sure she wasn't hired for the touring cast in the first place?

Umm, I think she was lying. All of the "lead's" contracts were through this Septmeber, and Maureen McGovern is the only "cast" member of the tour company. She probably heard the show was closing and just BSed and figured nobody would second guess her...

I hope Julie Foldesi plays Jo on the tour. She is amazing...
This show is so boring. I only sat through it a second time because it was a free ticket with a group of friends. I'm so glad it went away.

I sat in front of some of the producers today and they were discussing the tour and how the auditions and stuff were going. From the sounds of things, they had an idea on a lot of casting but wanted to see about the possibility of any of the bway cast members joining up before they decided for sure.
And I want to second that Julie Foldesi is amazing.
