Spider, Elphie,
I'm going on the 16th also (sitting in Row T I think). I live in NC, and I'm excited that we're getting a chance to see some real broadway talent without having to go to NY!

I'm looking forward to seeing Sutton Foster in Little Women too.
And then seeing Gavin Creel in La Cage, probably on the same weekend on my next stay in NY.
I'd probably see these 2 shows anyway, but being the big Millie fan that I am, it's a plus to see the alums.
However, the one new show that interests me most is Monty Python's Spamalot, and that opens later this winter with Tim Curry and Hank Azaria.

Posted: 10/26/04 at 7:16pmHey! I just saw previews for Little Women at duke university in North Carolina and I quite liked it. Sure, it needs some work before Broadway but Sutton foster is FANTASTIC (of course) and I definitely recommend seeing it.

Posted: 10/26/04 at 7:56pmGo see Little Women. I wanted to see it at Duke, but I couldn't get out of a rehearsal, but my friend went and said it was great. She spoke to Sutton after and said she was nothing but absolutely sweet. When my friend told her I wanted to go but couldn't, Sutton asked my name and then signed a program to me. It makes me wish I could have gone that much more!

Just back from Duke--Little Women was fantastic. Sutton was amazing, as everyone has said/expects, but the supporting cast was top notch as well--John Hickok was great, Jenny Powers was excellent and Maureen McG was terrific.
The first act needs a little tightening, but that is in the works, and the second act is a knockout. The score is really lovely, some of the lyrics are excellent, and the story is told beautifully.
I laughed, I cried, it became part of me.

Posted: 10/28/04 at 10:13amWhen I went last Saturday, some of the performers came out into the theater through the front left door about 15-20 minutes after the show. They were all really sweet and signed programs. Sutton was of course wonderfully nice and gracious!

Posted: 10/28/04 at 4:01pmI went to the matinee performance, and yes, they did come into the theatre. Sutton, Maureen and John signed my program. In fact, as my friend and I were leaving, we also saw Maureen walking through the student union.
