Live stream of The Government Inspector

I'd seen the play live when it was Off-Bwy and was looking forward to seeing it live-streamed. As it turned out, I was disappointed last night..

Most of Michael Urie's physical performance was lost in this version and that was a key selling point of the show. I fondly recall Urie hanging from the two-level set supposedly throughout intermission. His drunk scene didn't translate well on Zoom.

I still think Michael Urie is one of the most gifted actors around but this production didn't do him justice.

Part of the problem with this version was the large cast. It was difficult to decipher who was speaking in the Zoom boxes.
