I just saw a bit about the benefit show where Liza and Carol Channing both performed. Liza joked to the audience, "Well, I'm here...ARE YOU SCARED?" Carol said Liza is the greatest musical star, "Because all the others are DEAD!"

I was there at the concert! Carol Channing scared me half to death!!!!!!

Saw Carol Channing in I believe the 1994 revival of Dolly. I sat in the 3rd row and may I say that I have never been so scared of a human being in my life. Terrified is more like it. I'm sure there was some appeal to her back in her younger days but she really scares me now. I had nightmares for months.
