Webber wants to do a reality show in search of the new Maria in Sound of Music, and it may be littled: "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?"

Why is Andrew Lloyd Webber searching for a Maria? When I first read this, I figured it was the search for a replacement for Maria Freidman in WIW, but... no.

However, on topic, I'd love to see this. It'd probably do decently on Bravo.

exactly, Marquise. who knows? maybe this show will do some good? i'm not a big fan of the sound of music, but anything to give broadway more exposure, i suppose.

I thought this was about that American Idol girl who's playing Maria in West Side Story. She's was terrible apparently. Except that isn't a Webber show, obviously.

His RUG has been talking about a London revival of 'The Sound of Music' for quite some time. A few years ago, it was supposed to star Maria Friedman.

You mean Paige Davis? She was already Maria and didn't get such good notices.
