Lone Star Love

OK so I just got back from the invited rehearsal of Lone Star Love, Interest appears to be pretty high, the room was packed, NY1, Playbill etc, so look around for video and pics, there were plenty taken.

they did 4 songs, and so i can only comment on that, but it was SO MUCH FUN. High energy, exuberant young cast. The music really is great, and the ramblers are doing total justice providing the music.

The highlight was the song which i assume was called Lone Star Love they closed with. Opened by broadway veteran Beth Leavel
(of 42nd street and crazy for you Fame) who always manages to show you a good time. The full ensem joins in for a nice loud, well sung number. They ended with a hoedown of sorts, featuring the ensem dancing their little butts off and then everyone joins in to end it. Really a lot of fun.

Can't say much else except we have to wait and see the whole show, but that was enough for me to want to catch it. Do we finally have a southern based musical besides Oklahoma thats a great night of theatre? Only 4 songs, but I've got some high hopes for this one!
