Looking for Lion King fans!

I see Wicked fans, Les Mis fans, but I love the Lion King on Broadway! It is my favorite show! Is anyone out there a fan as well? I am really wondering how a show that has grossed over a billion dollars but has such a weak fan base? If you have anything negative to say please don't comment. Thanks, James.

It's a very entertaining, good show. Just not a GREAT show... I liked it enough to see it a couple times, but if i had $200 to spend on tickets, I'd probably get tickets to a new show or something a little more brilliant.. I also think that price is a big factor of the lack of the fan base, with all tickets at least $100 there is no way most college students or young adults could pay for this show. They don't have a lottery, rush, or any sort of discount whatsoever! I mean, Wicked is just as expensive, but at least they have a lottery! With all of that said, its a very inventive show that has a lot of great costumes and a very great score, and I do think it is one of the best musicals in the last 20 years.

I love the Lion King! I personally think it's the best out of the really long-running Broadway shows (Phantom, Chicago, Jersey Boys, Wicked, etc.). It's so creative and beautiful. It's a shame that they don't have any rush/lotto or anything that would make it more accessible.
