#1Looking for a play...
Posted: 5/29/07 at 12:29pmI am going to be directing a play in the round this fall. However, I can't find a play to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have been reading plays for about a month now and nothing is jumping out at me! I am looking for something with about 3-6 actors. Any ideas would be great! Thanks.

Anything by August Wilson--- as far as the cast size, a number of his works have 3-6 characters---

Is this an adult production? Community theatre? High school? Children?
Content restrictions? ETc.
More recently, both DOUBT and FROZEN are excellent plays with a small cast.

What kind of actors do you have access to? Age? Type?
What kind of money do you have for a set? Costumes?
What do you think your directing style is? Contemporary drama? Poetic drama? Farce? Situational comedy? Clue us in a bit. Help us help you.
