Hey, I need some ideas for some showtunes (or otherwise) that a show choir might be able to use in a medley of 5 songs with the theme "Heaven & Hell". Possible ideas so far have centered around the 3rd song being the ballad "Vaults of Heaven" from Whistle Down the Wind. He also wants to start with "It's the End of the World" by REM. C'mon, all you creative people. Help me out!
only thing I can think of at this moment is "Hellfire" from Disney's Hunchback..but I'm sure if you give it a couple hours, you'll have a lot of responses from this very knowledgable crowd.
kind of generic but, devil went down to georgia (could be very cool all in harmonies and is a crowd pleaser).

Heaven on My Mind - Jesus Christ Superstar
look up any music by jim steinman. he seems to be obsessed with hell-type themes in his music. Look for whistle down the wind and dance of the vampires stuff.
From Dance of the Vampires, "Eternity" (Isn't all it's cracked up to be) would fit, but as far as I know, none of the music or lyrics are available. I think Steinman sank it several fathoms deep. Try some of his other work.
