I'm sure I will be yelled at for this but I'm looking for music to the following songs. I know most of them are not being printed for the most part but I really would like to use one or more of them for auditions coming up so if you could help me out or know where I could buy them it woul dbe greatly appreciated if you could let me know.
Here's what I'm looking for:
"Try Me"-she loves me
"I found a hobby"- cut from Little Shop of Horrors
"Use what you got-the life
"Maria"-A grand night for singing
"Who better than me"-tarzan
If anyone has any idea where I can get these at it would be greatly appreciated
You might try the Public Library stacks for the vocal scores, and if they don't have the songs you need, especially the cut song from Little Shop, try the Colony on Broadway and I think 52nd Street.
Is Maria, the song from A Grand Night for Singing from a Rodgers and Hammerstein revue? If so, you might look at the vocal score for The Sound of Music. Also, you might contact Samuel French regarding the cut song from Little Shop, the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization for the songs from the shows they handle, or Music Theatre International for the song from She Loves Me. I suspect you can order the vocal score for Tarzan on Amazon.com or from the Disney Organization, but I would recommend you look at the library first. You'll save a lot of money by photocopying the music rather than ordering a whole score, which could really cost you.
Good luck.
I know that there is no published score for sal of grand night for singing, tarzan, and the life. I also believe the score to she loves me is out of print. The "maria" song from grand night is a different arrangement than that of the one form sound of music. It's written for a guy and is slightly different thats why I was looking for it.
Thanks for your help though, I will check with the rights handling companies
The vocal selections for TARZAN are currently in preparation. Not sure of the publication date, but I'll ask and get back to you.
I looked for the vocal score to she loves me and I even tried the State university of NY's interlibrary loan but none of the schools have it plus I cant even find an isbn number to speed up the process.
THere is a published Selections from "The Life". Use what you've got is in there. I know because I have it.
Thanks I found the life on ebay. I couldn't find it on most of the sheet music websites.
