Any of you great aficionados have the answer for us? 13-14 year old (singing alto in ensemble, but voice teacher wants her used as soprano) needs song appropriate to use for showcase piece. She used "Disneyland" last year and that song was perfect for her, but I cannot find one we like as much as that now.

Selection needs to sort of be edgy, not routine, not something we have all heard a million times to be chosen for show. Help, please, any ideas?

If sheet music not readily obtainable, we would still be interested. And I do have list of audition songs which floats on forum often. Thanks

"Gimme Gimme" - Thoroughly Modern Millie
"Cabaret" - Cabaret (is that overdone?)
"Good Morning Baltimore" - Hairspray
"My Strongest Suit" - Aida

thank you so much. I know "Girl in Apt. 3G" is hard to sing. Do you know of anything else similar?
