So I have a question.... other than wicked.. someone please tell me which broadway shows are the most hardest ones to win for the lottery on the weekdays since i am planning to watch broadway shows all of this week but i want to watch the ones with the lottery... for example rent, avenue q,hairspray, etc... just wondering... your answers will be greatly appreciated
Ave Q. They only have 12 seats available.

Shockingly I won Aveune Q on my first try and it was my first ever lottery! Sadly as jordangirl said they only have 12 seats on offer and alot of people do show up for it.

ps.The lottery girl is a bit sarcastic and made fun of my illegible handwritting :P
^ Lucky! That's the only one I've entered and never won. And it's not for lack of trying. I need to take my friend Kristen with me. She ALWAYS wins! Even Wicked on a summer Saturday matinee where she shows up at 11:55 to put her name in. That was her first lottery experience. Her reaction was "Lottery's easy!" LOL.
My very first lottery was RENT, and I won. It was my first time seeing the show as well. I also won Wicked lottery on the first and second preview nights, although I was playing for a friend the second time. And I have never won again since.
I've never won Ave Q, Spelling Bee or Hairspray though. Haven't tried A Chorus Line yet, but I've heard that one is pretty difficult as well since it's popular.
RENT is an easy one to win. Last time I went was a few months ago on a Sunday evening and they had enough tickets to give to everyone who entered.

I've won lottery at RENT, Hairspray, Spelling Bee, Drowsy Chaperone and Chorus Line. I've failed miserably at winning Wicked and Avenue Q. I went for a Wednesday matinee for Hairspray, and they didn't bother pulling lotto; everyone won. It's hit or miss with Chorus Line; twice I lost, once they didn't have enough people for all 20 seats, which was a Thursday night. I would say it's easiest to win Spelling Bee lotto on a Sunday night, because then you don't get the spill over from the losers of Wicked lotto. Drowsy had a decent sized crowd, and RENT is pretty easy to win, especially for matinees.
I've won RENT every time I've been by myself. The other times I've won it, I've been with a friend and her name was pulled.
ACL can be challenging. It just depends on who shows up.
Thursday night, I think everyone at Drowsy got in. If not, it was really close.
How's Spelling Bee now that the cast change has happened? Has that group dropped off any?

Tonight at the drowsy lottery there were about enough tickets for everyone when the lottery guy started to draw. It took untill the 10th name drawn for my name to come up! None of my friends names came up which they found quite funny. This was my 2nd time playing the lottery there. The last time was for a saturday night when we had 6 people in the hat and none of us were drawn!
