Tarzan still requires you to wait a good few hours. Anytime Bee and Wicked are running the same night...Bee gets the Wicked losers which you know are many.

Did anyone rush or lotto this past weekend? I was hoping to get an update as to the wait times for rush and crowds for lotto. I plan on doing a lotto or rushing this Saturday for a matinee and I'm looking for last minute advice.

Interested in:
Spelling Bee
Wicked
DRS
Avenue Q
Jersey Boys
Sweeney
Wedding Singer

We did some lottos Sat (7/22) evening, lost Rent and then lost Spelling Bee- Rent was an average crowd (I've seen both larger and smaller there), but Bee was one of the largest Bee crowds that I have been a part of.

Jersey Boys is crazy with the rush. The wait is worth it, though. Drowsy lotto's also been crazy - we had about 12 people there yesterday, and only one of us won.

Q is really hard because they give away so few tickets, but the crowds aren't that bad.

The Wedding Singer is the easiest. You can get there after the box office opens and still get tickets.

I have bought student rush tickets for Wedding Singer three times. The first two times, a middle aged woman was at the window and she thoroughly checked my ID. Yesterday, there was a middle aged man who only glanced at the card through the window and didnt check any further than that.

Rent is a lotto- doesn't matter how early you get there, as long as you're there during the 1/2 hr window where they do signups/pull names.
The SRO area is at the rear of the Och, I have friends who have stood there and you can see just fine, however on Saturday night Rent was only offering $55 Mezz tix for sale, no SRO tix.

Double down, Patti will be out of Sweeney for two weeks so it should be extremly easy to get rush tickets and concerning DRS, with Jonathan and Norbert having left, agian its almost a garuntee. I'll be rushing both of these shows within the next couple of weeks so I'll post if I get a chance.

Happy...Everything! Kaye Thompson

Thanks Gypsy...I'd appreciate any info.

So what's the absolute latest I could arrive for Jersey Boy Rush? I see that the tickets for the show at 2 are given out at 11 or noon.

I wouldn't get there later than 7:00 or 8:00, so it seems as of late.

Ok...here's the deal...if I get up early I'll head to Jersey Boys. Again...whats the absolute latest I could arrive and still get tickets for Saturday's matinee? Also where are these tickets located?

And if I get up later I will rush Wedding Singer since it seems pretty easy. Whats the latest I should arrive to get seats to WS? Also where are these tickets located? I'd like front row if at all possible...how early for front row?

Thanks for your help. I can't wait. I leave for NYC tomorrow morning.

I was in the city for the past few days -- On Sunday, we did the Bee lotto (and lost, but I already had a ticket). The Bee lotto used to be easy to win, but I guess because of summer there are a lot more people. And like someone else said -- all the Wicked lotto losers just go straight to Bee. And there are a LOT of people at the Wicked lotto.

I also got a student rush ticket for Sweeney on Tuesday night. 30 minutes before the show. And that's with Patti and Michael both on. They didn't even ask me for my student ID.

Since Patti will be gone for the next few weeks, I'd imagine those tickets will be super easy to get.

Sweeney tickets are always fairly easy to get.

I've rushed numerous times, and always gotten tickets. Basically, you could show up anytime before the show, but to be safe, I say get them by 6:30, an then go out for dinner.
