Lottery and Rush

My family member is coming into NYC so I wanto do some lottery and Rush tickets with her. How has The Color Purple rush been recently. What time do you suggest getting there for a Wesday Mat. How has the Wicked Lottery, Hairspray Lottery, Rent Lottery, and The Drowsy Chaperone Lotter been Latley. Thanks for all you're help!!!!!!!!!!

^ That may be so, but yet I clicked here anyway. My point? Any new perspective or new information always helps.

Well I heard from one person tonight (in particular jordangrl, who I met and chatted with after Year of Magical Thinking), and she told me that it took her 14 times to finally "win" the lottery @ Hairspray, and only just won recently.

As for "Year of Magical Thinking", I got a rush ticket just 30 minutes before the show that was great, but then that's leaving in 2 days.

This may be a stupid question, in fact I'm quite sure it's a stupid question but..
What type of id do you need to student rush. Does it have to be a college id?

The IDs depend on the show. I know that Legally Blonde takes middle school & up, but I know a handful of others is high school & up (Spring Awakening). So it differs. I think College ID works for all the shows that have SR policies though. Obviously I am not a wealth of information for this.

I did The Color Purple Rush last Wednesday, and we got there around 7:30 and there were like 8 or 9 people in front of us. So it wasn't too bad but the line started to really get growing around 8-ish, so I guess anytime before 8 would be ok?

We did the Hairspray rush on a Friday night and there were four of us, we all put our names in and only one of us won, so we got two tix, but then our aunt wanted to go to, and she got a SR ticket right before showtime, it was the last one, apparently.

How does the Hairspray SR work? Were are the seats located? What time do I have to get there? How many were at the lottery? Has the Rent Lottery been lately and Wicked Lottery?

I don't know if Hairspray has Sudent rush anymore I think they just do lottery. They do however has SRO= Standing room, Which is only sold when the show is sold out, I've stood for this show and it's not a bad view I didn't miss anything important and for $20 I can't complan.
Rent has a lottery they take names 2 and a half hours before the show and pull 2 hours before the show, they pull 17 names for 34 seats in the front 2 rows of the orc. I won the lottery Wednessday night and their were about 100 people there.
They also usally offer discounts after the lottery
Wednessday night they gave
$45 side view orc
$30 Rear Mezz
& $65 front mezz

There is also a discount code on plums for $50 tickets
