Anytime Eli helped defend Oskar, especially when her hand popped out of a trunk she was hiding in and she killed a detective. The gasp from the audience was deafening and I thought the man next to me was having a heart attack. The staging was definitely for the brave."
I didn't know that work had been adapted for the stage!"https://stannswarehouse.org/show/let-the-right-one-in/

Hadestown, when Orpheus turns to see Eurydice (collective gasping followed by me and a few other audience members crying LOL)
(Older production but) when Tony gets shot at the end of West Side Story. Definitely shocked the audience and I remember one of my classmates even screamed.

OH there's a moment in The Play That Goes Wrong...not where I've heard a gasp, but I think a lot of the audience was surprised....
When the character seems like she's not in the clock, because how could she do that when it seems like it didn't have anyone inside of it? But then they open it and she's in there....I'm still trying to figure out how they did it!
