Hmmn, somehow the title of this thread changed when homosezwhat made a reply. Not sure why it went to "hate this travesty of a show"??
In any event I'm a Lennon lover too. I've seen quite a lot on and off Broadway, regional, etc. and Lennon certainly is not garbage by any stretch of the imagination. As someone else said here, no one can speak for John Lennon and it's rather pompous to imply that one could.
I could name some shows I didn't like but not sure what purpose that would serve. This whole thread started off very positive and a few bashers and naysayers had to jump in with no purpose in mind except to attack a show that some of us enjoy.
