Great show, but doesn't hold a candle to The Pillowman. Or The History Boys.
New York 1's review said it best: "There's more blood than in a Quentin Tarentino box set." They are extremely right, and I had a bloody good time.
Peter Gerety is a sure shot for a Lead Actor nomination, with David Wilmot getting (and probably winning) for featured. The set is also sure to get a nomination. It's excellently cartoonish, and very reminicient to Scott Pask's design for Little Shop.
However, the best performance comes from good ole Wee Thomas, who makes his big entrance among shocked laughs and applause. And he's huge. He could take on Richard Griffiths!
Excellent show!

You may want to note there is a spoiler in this review!
Interesting you say that you think Gerrety will get the nom for lead, and Wilmot the nod for featured. I believe they've already been nominated as opposite (if I remember correctly, for Outer Critics Circle). Personally, I'd love to see Dohmnall Gleason get some recognition!
