I believe the Tony Awards were filmed in there in the early of mid 90's.

And yes, it really was a really awful blue color back in 1997. I hated it.

The mezz cuts off a bit less than "half" the stage and didn't detract from my viewing of the performance.

The National Theatre in Washington, DC has that same blue scheme going on.

I liked the Lunt-Fontanne in the video, but I'm not fond of the national theatre.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Um No! The Nationals colour is rather tame compared to the LF. Thats the first time ive seen the National- how is it as a house?
A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!'' Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'
