Are there any good leading male roles in mame?

Patrick, Mame's nephew is a good role. You need two actors for it -- Patrick at 10 and Patrick in his 20s.

There's also:

-- Mr. Babcock (the bank trustee of Patrick's estate) who doesn't have any songs, but has a couple of decent scenes.

-- Ito, Mame's butler (something of an asian sterotype)

-- Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside (Mame's boyfriend who gets to sing the title tune)

I was in this show in High School. There are no good guy parts really. The show was put on at an all girl high school, so they picked a show that didn't require many guys since they didn't get many to audition. All we needed was really 3 guys. The biggest role for guys is the 10 yr old which was played by a fourth grader. the other guy was the older version of the son, and the last main male role was mames husband, who comes in the middle of act 1, sings MAME, and then dies in the beginning of act 2 lol
