Posted: 2/1/06 at 3:12amRuffalo's performance in THIS IS OUR YOUTH was one of the best I've seen in the past decade. So happy he's decided to come back to the stage (where he belongs). Man, that's a LOT of firepower on one stage -- Ruffalo, Zoe Wanamaker, Ben Gazzara, Jonathan Hadary ..... (Pablo Schreiber may get eaten alive). Can't wait to see this!

I was actually wondering something about this.
The previews begin March 23th? Do you guys think they would do that stage door thing after the previews? I don't think I'll be able to afford to see the show, but I would give anything to meet Mark Ruffalo. I've been a fan of his ever since I saw The Last Castle. He's an incredible actor.
What do you guys think?

I had never heard of Mark Ruffalo until two years ago when he was a speaker at a journalism conference I went to. (I didn't go to his talk... 
)
But I do have a story!
Most of the girls I went with (and I mean girls) had a crush on him. Apparently at the elevator bank, one said, "Mmm, I want Mark Ruffalo to lick my nipples!" And then realized he was down at the other end and had heard everything. She got in an elevator real quick...

Ok. I'm sorry I'm freaking out, but if I get the chance I really really would like to meet Mark Ruffalo
So,
1) Are the previews going to be in NYC, or in LA or something?
2) If they're in NYC, does anybody know if the cast will stage door?

1) Awake and Sing! is a production by Lincoln Center Theatre that will be playing a limited engagement at Broadway's Belasco Theatre (44th Street), so obviously previews will be there and not in LA (?).
2) Ummmmmm...... unless they're sleeping in the theatre (unlikely) or have some magical ability to travel via teleportation or something, one would presume that after each show is over (except maybe for Wednesday and Saturday matinees), each member of the cast will want to leave the theatre - likely via the stage door -- and go home, go to dinner etc..... so if you're standing there as they come out with a pen and program etc... one would assume they would be willing to sign whatever.

I just came back from a performance of Awake and Sing. (at the Arena Stage in Washington, DC) I'm surprised at the role that Mark is playing, (Moe Axelrod) since he's usually plays the nicer guy role- at least on screen I haven't seen him on stage.
Anyway, I think that the role will be a great way for him to show his versatility.
