Trying to catch what is on B'Way before Tony Awards. Saw Memphis and Addams Family. Did not have high hopes for either with all the trash talked about both shows. I was so surprised. I love both shows. Memphis was exhilarating and so entertaining. The leads and the entire company were amazing. Technically it is extremely tight and well done!. Bravo Memphis.... GREAT SHOW... Addams Family is a bit off and uneven but still very funny. Huge production and very lavish. Some very cool moments. Still it is a few songs too long. Still Nathan Lane and the cast are great and worth the ticket price. LOVED Kevin Chamberlin's Uncle Fester. Again great show... Don't let the nay-sayers and hater's keep you away . Both shows are really wonderful and thrilling evenings of live theater

Thanks for sharing. It's refreshing to hear some positive words about Broadway's only 2 original book shows this season.
I went in to Memphis thinking it was going to be a disaster after hearing certain things and had one of the best nights at a show in a very long time.

Its that kind of show the leads were incredible the score was great and I felt a bit emotional at the end. The book is great. The Huey character was kind of sad. He motivated such change in the music industry... I really liked this show a lot. If you have not seen Addams Family go see it ... Highly recommended. Nathan Lane is a master at line delivery and study in character acting.. What a fun day in the theater we had seeing both shows.... If not surreal with the bomb scare that came along with the whole evening!
I saw Addams Family today and was very pleasantly surprised. It is not nearly as bad as some of the reviews I read. If you take it for what it is, it is quite enjoyable. Great job by the cast and the set changes were very impressive. Some of the songs are forgettable, but I also enjoyed several.
Nathan Lane is unmatched with his comedic talent, although I really thought he'd be funnier in this without the accent. I don't think it was necessary. All in all, a pleasant experience.
