MTV's Made

Did anyone see the MTV show MADE with the girl(Brittany?) who wanted to be a dancer in 42nd Street? I was just thinking about that for some reason. I thought she was pretty good for only dancing for four weeks.

I want to write into that show... "MADE: I want to be on Broadway DAMNIT!!"
What is Broadway? A street? Some say it's a street. Some say it is the best street in the world. Others think its terrible. That's the beauty of it, it's terribly beautiful. Some hate it and don't know why. Others love it and don't know why. That's what makes it so wonderful, it's a mystery.

I have a feeling she learned the audition combination before hand and thats why she was able to get past the first round.

She did learn the audition combination. However, if she passed the dancing auditions, you can't guarantee she is in it. What if she couldn't sing? I know 42nd Street focuses greatly on your dancing skills, but you can't sing as bad as William Hung on American Idol. They made it seem that if she passed the dance, she was automatically in the show.

I was actually thinking she made it past the first round because MTV was there, but you're probably right.

^^^ lmao!
I liked that episode of MADE...i kept thinking "wow wut a good idea, i should try that!" lol but that wouldn't happen. I agree that she probably got past the first round because of the camera's, but she did dance pretty well.

Yes millie, I loved that episode. He definitely had a bit of the "swish" in him...and they went to go see "RENT" if I remember correctly. Tsk tsk.
There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]

Lol, they were with MTV...MTV probably could get them tickets to a more difficult show (Hairspray, Producers, Wicked). And they see Rent? If you're with MTV, go with something that will not always be an option.

re: MTV's Made

I've read that the whole audition so to speak was staged entirely for the made show. The other auditionees were actual auditioning hopefuls who hoped to get into 42nd St., but there was no actual casting really happening. It was all just happening for the sake of the MTV show.

re: MTV's Made

Knowing some 42nd St'ers, I can tell ya, singing isn't a main requirement. They can barely keep on pitch.
