MY BROOKKLYN review for 9/25!!!!!! sooo good!

This show is amazing!!!!! The concept is so cool and creative! I loved every second of the show!

Good Parts-
1)Once upon a Time brought down the house. Eden was awesome and got a standing o. It truly sounds sooooo much better live! The loud music and her voice gave me chills I almost cried it was so good To bad it was in the begining of the show!
2) Ramona Keller is amazing and steals the show a lot! She is really funny and can sing her butt off. She brings awesome elements to the show!
Rest of the cast was awesome as well...
3) COSTUMES we awesome! Everything was made from "trash" sorta kinda stuff...you have to see it to understand

Bad parts-
1) Set- Looks and feels very Rent-ish. I was a lil dispointed in that! I wanted something more original
2)Music- Not very strong at all! Walking out of the theater the only song you can probably remember enough sing/hum along to is once upon a time. Nothing else was catchy enough to catch on!
3)Like said in other reviews...to long not to have an intermisson!
4) Seats very tight. I found myself in pain because I was so smooshed into my seat.

So thats my review...there are so many more good elements but i dont feel like typing them all. The show is amazing and I will go back to see it a lot.

oh yeah here is what i think...lol....Dont take the show to seriously....just go and enjoy it fot what it is...the plot isnt deep or anything...so if u go in looking for a deep storyline you'll prolly hate the show cuz the plot is a lil weak! ok enough....peace out! again sorry for the typing errors!

I liked Once Upon a Time when I heard it at Bryant. I did not like the ending to it, it sounding very much like the end of Defying Gravity, but not as good. Am I the only one who thought that?

I still like the rest of the song though.

Someone posted on another thread that the show was sold out the entire weekend, so if that it true, I think its safe to assume that the theater was full.

you know what I was thinking hearing the bklyn cd sampler just now?

OUAT should have been the song that Eden sings at the end for the showdown with Paradice and streetsinger or Blyn in the blood she could do more in the beginning. To me since OUAT is the most outstanding song it should be towards the end. Especially since what happens that night has to do with her dad. Anyone who has seen it agree?

No, I had bought them first day they went on sale. Got Mezz J for $65 (no discounts were available at the time)

Agree that it could have been later, but I think "Streetsinger" is the best song in the show, with Ramona's "Raven" next.

yes testing, and that was what i was trying to tell everybody that wrote a mixed review about BKLYN. They are only in previews. They didn't even start their 6th preview.

I think that Once upon a time does not sound like defying gravity, i guess the only thing that does is the high notes, but alot of broadway songs high notes like that(or try to). As a matter of fact, this song was written way before Defying Gravity was even out. So i guess you could say that defying gravity is sounding like Once Upon a Time. I would try and stop comparing this show to Wicked, becasue it is nothing like it.

mark and barri started writing these songs YEARS ago...they were originally supposed to be for barri but, they decided to write a show..so , yes folks this was written WAY before rent and wicked...just arrived way after.

You loved every second of the show and yet you think the score was weak? I have only heard "Once Upon A Time", and I sure hope that the rest of the score is stronger than that. I think it sounds like something that was rejected from Celine Dion's latest album or something, and that the lyrics are beyond cheesy. Granted, it is well performed, and the note at the end is impressive, I'm just not wowed by all these typical pop ballads on broadway anymore. I hope this is just a fad that will dissapear in the next season.
