Go see it!!!!!!! I saw it last year here in Detroit done by the Michigan Opera Theatre. One of the voice teachers from my school played Kate Pinkerton. It was brilliant! I highly recommend it!

In a word, "extraordinary" (with a great Cio-cio San, that is). A brilliant opera with a legendary score.

It's one of the most brilliant operas ever written. My third favourite, behind La Boheme and Tosca.

Puccini was the greatest composer ever. Such sublime melodies. Better than Verdi. By a long way.

I guaruntee Madama Butterfly will have you in tears.

Yes, take plenty of tissues. There's no resisting it. A masterpiece.
