Conversations From Main Street continues with Jodie Langel, co-author of “Making It on Broadway”, on Friday, December 17, 2004 at 7:00 pm at the Jeanne Rimsky Theater at Landmark on Main Street. The program, sponsored by Angela and Scott Jaggar is free and open to the public.

Jodie Langel's Broadway career started as the role of Cosette in Les Miserables. Her other extensive Broadway tour credits include the role of Bertrande in the Pre-Broadway tour of Martin Guerre, Cosette in the tour of Les Miserables, the Narrator in the National Tour of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Grizabella in the National Tour of CATS, where she was the youngest person to ever portray the role. She was a soloist with the celebrated Lyric and Lyricists series at the 92nd Street YMCA.

Jodie is the author of a brand new book entitled MAKING IT ON BROADWAY: TALES OF CLIMBING TO THE TO THE TOP, with a forward by Jason Alexander. The book is a candid, behind the scenes, and sometimes shocking look at Broadway's stars, including Seinfeld star and Tony winner Alexander, Antonio Banderas, Brooke Shields, Chita Rivera, Debbie Gibson, Lea Thompson, and over fifty other Tony award winners and nominees. The book contains interviews with over 150 Broadway veterans and shares their personal stories of making it to the top and down the other side of the constantly changing bulwark known as the Great White Way. The book was released in April 2004.

Books will be on sale at the event and Jodie will be available for signing after the discussion. A perfect holiday gift for aspiring Broadway actors!
