Male/Female duets (Scene and Song)

For a class i am taking, we are to put together a scene from a musical for a female and a male. Can anyone reccommend something for me? Preferbally a ballad like song--scene into song

EDIT:

I forgot to mention voice-types

the girl is an alto and I am a bari-tenor

The Next Ten Minutes from Last Five Years. but that is just a song.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.
