All right, so I'll remove Marquise from the script. Now who wants to continue it?
ACT ONE
BARBARA'S L.R. 9:30 A.M. (SATURDAY)
STACY IS AT THE TABLE, CAREFULLY GOING OVER THE
NEWSPAPER PAGE BY PAGE. SHE IS LOOKING FOR WORD
OF THE HEMMINGS' ROBBERY AND FINDING NO MENTION
AT ALL. BARBARA COMES DOWNSTAIRS NOW, STRETCHING
LUXURIOUSLY.
BARBARA
Good morning.
STACY
(MUTTERS) Morning.
BARBARA
Once I managed to fall asleep I had good dreams,
fabulous dreams. I was on an ocean voyage,
imagine. Blue skies, a handsome captain. Tea at
eleven. (COMES OVER) What's the news?
STACY
(PRETENDS SHE ISN'T AS INTERESTED AS SHE IS)
Nothing much.
BARBARA
And what's the day? (GOES TO THE WINDOW, LOOKS
OUT) Blue skies. Just like my dream. (TURNS
BACK TO STACY) Did you have good dreams?
STACY
(LOOKS UP -- GUILTY FOR A MOMENT...THEN SHRUGS)
Just...dreams. I don't remember.
BARBARA
Mine was in color, this time. Do you dream in
color?
STACY
I don't remember. Sometimes, maybe...(STARTS AT
PAGE ONE ALL OVER AGAIN)
BARBARA
You're surely going to read the print off those
pages, Stacy -- what are you looking for?
STACY
Huh? (THEN QUICKLY) Nothing. Just...checking.
For Current Events. We have to bring in some
clippings.
BARBARA
(WITH DISTASTEFUL MEMORY) Oh -- those clippings.
I had a Miss Parminger for Civics -- and her slip
always used to show. Always.
STACY
Barb, doesn't a newspaper write up everything
that happens?
BARBARA
If it's printable.
STACY
Sometimes, this is a -- funny paper.
BARBARA
(WITH A LAUGH) You want to speak to my father
about it?
STACY
(PUTS THE PAPER DOWN)
I was just saying -- that's
all.
BARBARA
Now, let us see what there is to do, today. (SHE
PICKS UP HER APPOINTMENT BOOK) The hairdresser
at eleven, then I've got to return the shoes...
(TURNS TO STACY) Stacy, you want to come with me
and get your hair washed?
STACY
(WITH SOME HORROR) Washed? I wash it myself.
BARBARA
They do a wonderful shampoo there with all kinds
of herbs in it. If I can find someone to keep an
eye on Hank we can have a nice lunch afterwards.
It'll be fun.
STACY
I don't feel like it.
BARBARA
(TRYING TO WOO HER) All right, then...why don't
I do what I have to do at the club? I'll have a
quick bite there. You can meet me afterwards and
we can go (OVER TO THE)...
STACY
(INTERRUPTING) I have some other things to do.
BARBARA
About when? We can coordinate schedules.
STACY
I -- don't know yet.
BARBARA
You're determined to miss out on a lot of fun,
today. There's so much we could do together......
STACY
(IDLY PICKS UP THE PAPER YET ONCE AGAIN) I don't
feel -- fun.
BARBARA
I think, Stacy -- that you have some left over bad
feelings.
STACY
Maybe.
BARBARA
Don't you think you should get over them?
STACY
Maybe.
BARBARA
I don't have any for you. You know that.
STACY
Uh huh.
BARBARA
Stace -- are you listening to what I'm saying or are
you back to the paper again?
STACY
I'm listening.
BARBARA
Well then say something constructive.
STACY
I have to make a phone call. (SHE GOES TO THE
PHONE...)
BARBARA
Well then, I'll make my plans without you.
STACY
That'd be better, yes.
BARBARA
Sometimes, you puzzle me, Stacy, you really do.
(AND SHE FLOUNCES UPSTAIRS AGAIN. STACY NOW DIALS
...WAITS...WE BRING IN THE BENDARIK APARTMENT AS
JOSH ANSWERS THE PHONE)
JOSH
Hello.
STACY
Josh? Stacy.
JOSH
Oh...how you doing?
STACY
O.K. Anybody there?
JOSH
Not in the room here. What's up?
STACY
I've been looking in the paper and I can't see any
story about -- you know what.
JOSH
I know.
STACY
But why?
JOSH
I don't know. Hey....you sound uptight.
STACY
You doing something later?
JOSH
I'm not sure. Why?
STACY
Could we....get together...? I could come over to
your house, if you want.
JOSH
Well....my father's still sleeping.
STACY
Please. I won't stay long.
JOSH
Sure. Come on.
STACY
O.K. I'll see you, then.
JOSH
Stace? Be cool, will you. Maybe they didn't get
home yet....
STACY
I thought it's funny it's not in the paper,
that's all. I'll see you later.
(SHE HANGS UP, HER FACE TROUBLED AND WE....
GO TO BLACK)

Kelly's 7/1/03 comment from the main board is eminently appropriate here:
"If you're not interested, skip the thread. It's not difficult, really."
