Christine Baranski as Mame? Harriet Harris as Vera?
Don't they have the casting backwards?
I personally think this casting is going to be great... Glad to see Harriet back on stage again..

Mame is warm. Pretentious and affected at times, but there is a warmth that comes through.
Has Christine ever been anything but chilly?
And don't think I'm hatin' on her. I love me some Christine Baranksi. Just think she is a much better choice for Vera.
And if you saw Harriet Harris in the "Man Who Came To Dinner" revival, playing the Roz Russell role, you see she has the same qualities all around as the original and best Mame had.

I thought she was great and warm as Mary Sunshine in the film version of Chicago.I am looking forward to seeing her in Mame.
