I love David Mamet and just saw this memo he wrote to his writers of "The Unit" back in 2005. I thought it was an interesting read to any fiction writers on here because it's such a distilled version of what he talks about in his books.

I wonder whether on the basis of her research for her master's thesis, writer could confirm that the clues at the bottom of the board, with the higher payoffs (and higher potential losses) attached, are indeed usually the most difficult, and by how much.
