Mamma Mia

Hi I saw the show on Broadway back in 2001 with the OBC and I loved it. I thought Louise and Karen were amazing. I'm coming to London in Dec for two weeks and Mamma Mia is on my list of shows to see ( along with Hairspray and August: Osage County, I would die to see Deanna's performance again). My question is how is the current cast if anyone has seen them?

Surely there must be hundreds of other shows you can see in your precious time in London for goodness sake. 'Mama Mia' is exactly the same in every country and in every language! Its 10 years old in London now and vert tired and very touristy!
This thread will now be flooded with other show suggested by other posters who think you're being silly wasting an evening again at 'Mama Mia -London'!!!!

A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!'' Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'

I sort of agree with Wickedboy...Mamma Mia is good, but once you've seen it, you've seen it. Hairspray is very good in London, although by December Michael Ball will have left, but still a great show, especially if you haven't seen it on Broadway or Tour. If you're a fan of The Sound of Music we have a great little revival playing in the Palladium, or you could catch the original Les Miserables, cast is currently brilliant (said whilst drooling over Jon Robyns! lol!) I don't know anything of Osage County, but I've heard good things about it, (I'll hopefully get to catch it whilst it's at the National) But if you are totally bent on seeing Mamma Mia then go for it; why not spend your money on something you know you'll enjoy? :) all we mean is there are better shows in London x
