"Mamma Mia!" Sequel - OH, NO!

I love "Mamma Mia!" the musical, to death. I liked the film a lot. I hate, abhor, and absolutely despise the idea of a sequel, although, sadly, I'd probably see it anyway. There are not that many more ABBA songs to use, so it'd have to include a LOT of songs from "Mamma Mia 1." The whole thought just makes me sick. Musicals being turned into movies and then the musical movies being turned into musical movie sequels that aren't even based on musicals." Like Hairspray 2! and now this! How could Meryl Streep say she'd do it. She should've learned from other people that sequels don't work.

Wrong. There is still TONS of material. Their catalogue includes over 100 songs including the unreleased material such as the wonderful Just Like That.

I could definitely picture Donna and Rosie singing "Head Over Heels" about Tanya, but I'm still not a big fan of the idea. I remember the jokes earlier this year about a potential "Grandmamma Mia."
