Many of The Fantasticks cast leaving in March

I just read on Playbill.com (http://www.playbill.com/news/article/126598.html) that Lewis Cleale (El Gallo) and Nick Spangler (Matt), as well as several other cast members, will be leaving The Fantasticks in March. I urge everyone to go see them before they leave. They are both excellent.

Nick has been cast in a musical version of Edna Ferber's GIANT, which will be playing in Arlington, VA's Signature Theater this spring.

Oh, no way! Good for him! I was contemplating going down to see it. Although it's over three hours long and written by LaChiusa. Not that I don't like his work, but that just means it might be a bit laborious.

Nick feels that it will be either the greatest thing he's ever done or the worst. There won't be any middle ground on GIANT.

I can see it going either way too. I can't decide if I want to make a trip down to see it. It'd be kind of fun to see "See What I Wanna See" and "Giant" in one weekend, but that's a lot of money/time to commit to a show that could be horribly long and boring. I have the movie, but I've yet to watch it. Is the story good?

I just learned that Betsy has indeed been cast in GIANT--and Lewis Cleale (the current El Gallo) as well.
