Posted: 12/1/04 at 9:43pmI know it's not out yet, but for those that saw the out of town previews, do you know? This is character wise. I'm pretty sure Jo is a mezzo, bt not sure about the rest.

Posted: 12/1/04 at 9:54pmJo is a mezzo. I think Meg and Amy have the higher voices. Beth and Jo had around the same range.

Spider, it seemed to me that Beth had a pretty high voice, but I really don't know anything about stuff like that.
Out of curiosity, why do you ask?

Oh, just out of curiousity.
This is one of my favorite stories and just had fun trying to guess who was what. I know I'm a dork. :)

Spider is essentially right.
Meg is always the highest.
But, Amy and Beth mostly stay around the middle. I believe when its all the sisters (from high to low) its Meg-Beth-Amy.
But, when it comes to singing on their own, each sing a little higher, though Meg is the only one up in the 1st sop range.
Oh, and Elphie, it's
"I'm not BUILT for gowns."

Millie- Built? Really? Are you sure? I don't remember it that way, but I guess you are right....I'll change it.
Did you see it at Duke too?

Posted: 12/2/04 at 10:42pmOdd...I saw the show three times and still couldn't remember the line correctly! It is one of my favorite lines, too. Oh well.

Posted: 12/2/04 at 11:09pmIt's understandable. "Meant" sounds like "built" when kind of mumbled. Sutton's delivery of the line is wonderful.
