If she were truly a big fan of the elephants she wouldn't go to work for an outfit that is so horribly abusive to them.

So I'm confused. When Ringling Bros uses elephants in their shows and trains them it is considered torture. Yet, no one gets up in arms when a circus like The Big Apple Circus trains their dogs dogs to jump through hoops.

I am not saying that it is good that Ringling uses elephants in their shows is a good thing. I am just trying to figure out where to draw the line.

Exactly. Apparently the paycheck is enough for her to forget how the animals that make her so nutty are treated.

but having worked with Marcia on the theaterworks tours of Seussical the Musical she could be referring to Horton the Elephant. Just a thought.
