Maria Friedman is looking GREAT!

The upcoming City Center Encores! production of Follies will boast Tony Award winner Victoria Clark as Sally Durant Plummer, while the Feb. 4 London Palladium benefit concert of the Stephen Sondheim-James Goldman work features Olivier Award winner Maria Friedman in that role.

Friedman plays the former Follies girl in the concert staging of the musical, which will benefit Starlight Children's Foundation and the Kingston Hospital Cancer Unit Appeal.

The one-night-only event will also feature Liz Robertston as Phyllis Rogers Stone, Philip Quast as Ben Stone, Tim Flavin as Buddy Plummer, Rachel Barrell as Young Sally, Summer Strallen as Young Phyllis, Adam-Jon Fiorentino as Young Ben, Neil McDermott as Young Buddy, Josephine Barstow as Heidi Schiller, Charlotte Page as Young Heidi, Bonaventura Bottone as Roscoe, Kim Criswell as Carlotta Campion, Liliane Montevecchi as Solange La Fitte, Imelda Staunton as Hattie Walker, Patrick Mower as Dimitri Weismann, Paul Killick as Vincent, Angela Rippon as Vanessa and Trevor McDonald as the Radio Announcer.

She looks fantastic! I think she spent the majority of 2006 trying to get her health back in order, and it seems to be paying off! She's such a wonderful actress, and I adore her as a person as well.

She is a fantastic lady, when I saw her at the Cafe Carlyle, she spent an hour talking to me and my father. I have so much respect for her.

Looking forward to the concert tonight! But that better be a typo about it starting at 8.15, 'cos my ticket says 7.15 and I don't want to be standing around for an extra hour in painful shoes. XD

Thank you for posting this picture! I hope that how she looks on the outside(fantastic) is how she feels on the inside(healthy and happy). She's an incredible person and I can't wait to see her in her return to Broadway!
