"QUEEN OF THE MIST was a good show in an absolutely disastrous production. A better production would highlight the quality of the show."
It sounds like a lot of LaChiusa's musicals have that fate. I have emailed with him about the Japanese Nutcracker he did and have only had cryptic remarks back (he talks about it on one of his blogs.)

It seems that I shall simply be doomed to disagree with even the sensible members of this board. I've always found anything with Michael John LaChiusa's name to it to be utterly fascinating.

"After8 merely likes to reiterate that they aren't as good as Sally, and nothing ever ever ever will be."
Not really. When the subject of this gruesome twosome comes up, I reiterate that they stank to high hell. But that has nothing to do with Sally. They don't need to be compared to Sally, or anything else, for that matter, to stink. They did that entirely on their own.
"I know I always say the same thngs."
We know it too, unfortunately. Take it from me, they weren't worth saying even once.
