I attended Marin and Jason's concert at Western Michigan University last night. I can't even put the experience into words. It was amazing!!!!!!!!!!! They were superb. And I finally got to meet Marin after being such a huge fan for 5 years plus. She is so beautiful! And so kind and gracious. I think I can die happy-seriously! She's so amazing, I was crying when the show started--no joke-I'm such a dork! And I almost cried when I met her. And Jason was fabulous! He did the most amazing "Maria" I think I've ever heard. He was just as nice as her! He was so personable and wow, it was just spectacular! Anyway, enough of me gushing! I just had to put it all down in words.
Could you please let me know what she sang and if they did any duets....I'm VERY VERY anxious to hear what kind of music she performed...also what was she wearing????
THANKS!
ah! Ok I'll see what I can remember of what they sang. It was mostly duets. They're first number was a medley of little snippets of probably 30 famous duets. I couldn't even try to remember what songs were in it. The only one I really remember was their opening which was the love song from Rosemarie by Sigmund Romberg which was a call and response thing. Some others that stick out are Anything You Can Do, Ohio, etc. By herself Marin sang If He Walked Into My Life, Not A Day Goes By, Ring Them Bells, and a song by a new composer Paul L-something-with lyrics by Scott Burkell. Also they sang Happiness, Move On, Too Many Tomorrows, Tonight, Let's Do It, Old Fashioned Wedding. I can't remember much else. There was quite a variety of eras and composers. I was in a daze. The concert was about a hour and a half.
And she wore the burgundy dress that she wore on the Memorial Day Concert or the July 4th concert(the one with Brian Stokes Mitchell-I can't remember which concert). She looked soooooooooooooo spectacular! As soon as I can get my picture up on here I'll show you!
