Did anyone see her? How is she?

You should put a question mark in your title. It's a little misleading...

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

if he put a question mark in, it would come off as though he wasn't sure if she was in it or not.

I saw her last night. My uncle came to town and took my BF and I. I was excited to find out she was in it and this was her first night. We had great seats in the 5th row. First of all I must say that she looked stunning. She's got the brown hair thing going, which I must say looked beautiful. And I'm not sure if she's had a boob job, but the sisters were out in all their glory. And we all know she's got a fantastic voice. As for her performance? I thought she was great. I've seen 3 Lady of the Lakes now, Sara Ramirez, and then Sara's understudy (the worst performance I've seen on a B'way stage) and now Marin Mazzie. I do prefer Sara, but Marin definitely brought her own little something to the performance. I think she's got great comic ability and stage presence which I think will just get better the more she performs.

On a side note. Christian Borle is still my favorite. His facial expressions alone are worth seeing this show.

I'm DYING to see her!! She's one of my very favorite performers and as much as I was unsure about her in this role, I'm just glad to have her back onstage.

I doubt she's had a boob-job. Her boobs have always been sensational!

Girlfriend does have a beautiful endowment. She's so gorgeous in general, though.

Isabella, those of us who saw the show live on Broadway, definitely got more than a "sort of" view of them. Mazzie was obligated to cover her breasts during the PBS performance, she mentions how uncomfortable that was on the audio commentary of the DVD.
I believe Mazzie would be the only reason I'd go back to Spamalot, I find the show to be unbearable but I admire her as a performer and would not miss a chance to see her live.

I have been very uninterested of this show from day 1. But, I have decided to try and get tickets for Kids Night Outjust because Marin Mazzie is in it. I'm also seeing Company then, can't wait.

Is she better or worse than Lauren Kennedy?

Stupid question...no one can be worse.

I disagree munkustrap. I saw Kennedy this summer, and although she was hit and miss with some of the jokes, I felt overall she did a fine job. Her vocals were utterly amazing, and her presence was wonderful. Was she as good as Sara Ramirez? No. But was she good in her own right? Yes.

I'm all for different...but I thought all of her jokes fell flat. She didn't understand the character, and she can't do comedy. Nice voice, but she didn't chew the scenery like she needed to.

I loved Spamalot the first time around (with the original cast) but I need to get my butt back to the Shubert to see Marin. She's quite possibly my favorite theatre actress, and her as the Lady of the Lake makes me very very happy.

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

Jake,
Who did you catch covering for Sara...Darlene or Rosena?

I know many weren't kind to Darlene, but I thought she gave a great solid performance (if very much in the mold of Sara.) Not sure what they were thinking with Rosena Hill.

I'm not sure who I saw for Sara's understudy, but it literally was the worst performance I have ever seen on stage.....and I've seen alot. There is so much talent out there, I could't believe that this woman was hired. Anyway...back to the current cast.

I also thought Hadary was great. He reminded me a little of Tim Curry actually. I really liked him.

Oh yeah, and Chris Hoch (current Lancelot and many others) is brilliant, and I have to admit I have a new little crush.

I just got tickets to see it again in May. I never saw Sara (was out--her stand-in was just ok), but did see Lauren. I actually thought she did a good job--saw her 3 times. I'm now looking forward to seeing Marin, but I wonder if she'll still be there in May. Does anyone know how long she'll be performing there?
