and your source for this is?
yes, you're supposed to say "schuyler has learned..." and then everything will be okay...
REALLY????
Get Marc Shaiman to confirm this. If it is true i want to see Hairspray a third time.
Woo hoo.
Please let's not all start to ask Mr. Shaiman to comment on every little rumor and tidbit we hear about Hairspray ! I have seen in a couple of threads " Mr. Shaiman, is it true... and Mr.Shaiman can you comment..." Don't make him sorry for joining in. I can understand everyone's curiosity is out of love for the show, but really, do you think he can comment about his business here, if he hasn't done so in the papers yet ?
Exactly... I would think Mr Shaiman has better things to do than check this message board on a daily basis to see what the broadway fans are discussing and dissing...
If you're going to post something as cool as hearing Marissa is returning, how about telling us WHEN and where you HEARD this from...
Oh yeah, I heard there is water on Mars!!
Be still my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is what i was alluding to in my other thread. marissa looks like a strong possibility for a return for one month.
Well if Local One Crew says it so, it must be so.
I wonder if she'll return around the same time "Raisin in the Sun" begins performances at the Shubert Theatre.
She could be coming back at the same time poor li'l Kathy Brierly goes on a well-deserved vacation. She's shooting her soap during the day AND doing HAIRSPRAY at night! I don't know how she does it -- truly.

i will admit my raisin in the sun info was erroneous. the marissa thin gis true but not definite.
I am soooooooooooooooooooooo confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Raison in the sun is going into the Royale and Marissa most likely be coming in after Cathy Brier's contract is up. I believe whe has a six month contract.
so im confused..is this BEFORE or AFTER Harvey leaves?
I haven't seen the show yet and would love to see both of them if thats going to happen.

I believe Mr. Shaiman checks the boards everyday no matter what...he is as much of an addict as all of us.
is he really?
Everyday? I highly doubt that....
You believe he "checks the boards no matter what"!
No matter what?? I bet there are one or two occassions where his day is actually filled with enough activities that he doesn't have time to check the board. It probably happens very, very rarely though.
Maybe Mr. Shaiman has an assistant who's assigned this important task? You never know about those "rich and famous" people!! Take a memo... HAHA
oh yes my friends,
I am always here, watching...listening...keeping score
for I...am...
The POSTman!
here to stop threads like this one that are untrue and could seriously hurt the feelings of actors and their family who might hear these false rumors
Once again, I'm no angel, and I read the headlines on line in the supermarket, but remember...you are discussing real people here, not make believe characters!
plant ya now, dig ya later!
Marc

And now a word from our Senior Editor, Craig...
