Thanks for posting that. I don't think I'd want to see her being "bitchy" lol.

Actually, Badseed had the privilege of running into Marissa on Memorial Day while she was on the phone with the jerk who pulled out of making her dress. I will let her finish the story....but I will add that Marissa was incredibly gracious to Badseed and her hubby!

Yes indeed, this encounter I had absolutely made my day....and I didn't intend to post about this until I saw that this story was made public! Anyway, my husband and I were just exiting our cab outside Lord & Taylor, when he said "Hey, doesn't that look like--" and he hadn't even finished his sentence when I saw her, standing with a young man, talking in a rather, um, "animated" tone on her cell phone. We didn't want to bother her, of course, but I also wasn't about to let this opportunity slip away! So we stepped aside--out of earshot--while she finished her call, which was clearly bad news!!
As soon as she hung up we approached her and I said, "Listen, I don't want to bother you, but we just saw your show a couple nights ago and just wanted to tell you we thought you and the show were absolutely AMAZING!"....And she lit up all of 5th Avenue with that smile of hers and exclaimed, "Oh thank you so much!"....and she went on, "And I'm SO sorry you had to hear all that just now, but the person who was suppposed to make my Tony dress JUST BAILED, and now I only have 2 WEEKS to find a new dress!!" To which my husband replied, "Well....I don't know how to sew or anything....but I'll make you a dress!"...(which, of course, made her laugh hysterically!)
By this time I was kicking myself for having dropped the camera off at our hotel earlier, but I took out the one memento from the show I had with me--my ticket stub--and asked Marissa if she would mind signing it. To which she replied, "Oh my god, I can't believe you still have your ticket stub!! Of course I'll sign it!!" Anyway, we joked some more about what she might be seen in on Tony night, then finally I said I should let her get back to her shopping, wished her luck (and told her she should win!!!), and we went our separate ways....
And all I could think was, here this poor woman JUST got this bombshell dropped on her, and she could not have been more gracious and sweet with us! I'm sure a lot of women in her situation wouldn't have given my husband and me the time of day. So I will forever be a HUGE fan of hers, as will my husband! And I'm SO glad that the dress situation worked out for her after all! LOL!
