my big ?? is how did Brando bypass WWII? He was exactly my Dad's age, yet no mention of the war in his life story. Everyone of my Dad's contemporaries was involved in WWII in some capacity.
I don't know any men that age that weren't sent overseas at some point. Was Brando unhealthy? how did he not get drafted?
Watching the E! show you'd never know there was a war going on when Brando decides to go to NYC and take acting classes.

Posted: 2/24/05 at 12:24pmthanx - you'd think his True Hollywood Story would mention it - they blythely ignore the war during the whole bio, when it was the single most important event in most Americans lives during the 40s. (not to mention the Europeans and Pan-Asians)

Posted: 2/24/05 at 1:37pmyes they spent alot of time on his involvment w/ the Civil Rights movement in the late 50s, and the Native American involvment. also his earlier activism concerning Jewish Statehood.
