Yes, I went about a month ago and tried to rush for MW.
I had read that rush is $25 tickets one hour before curtain.
I arrived an hour before show time and was informed that they sell rush tickets right before curtain. I was instructed to wait and that he would call me over when there was about 5 minutes to show time. No one else was there, and the more I waited the more I debated on whether or not to see the show and just left. I would suggest getting there maybe 15-20 minutes before the show and you should be fine. He also told me that he had a handful of tickets left when I asked him so it seems they sell whatever is left over and dont have any designated seats for rush.
Now is this student rush or anybody rush?
Found it:
"Tickets are $75.00, with a limited number of $25.00 Student Rush tickets available at the box office 1 hour prior to show. A limited number of premium tickets are also available at $125.00."

Has anybody rushed this show recently? I'm interested to hear whether a rush policy still exists. It's been almost three months since the last post in this thread, so I'm interested to find out anything new, regarding the one hour prior vs. few minutes prior to curtain debate.
I did, either last week or two weeks ago, yes they still have rush, and I want to say we were allowed to purchase our tix at about 7:45pm for the 8pm curtain.
Thanks, Anakela!
Has anyone rushed the show recently?
I'm planning on seeing a friend in it this evening via rush and was curious what it's been like lately.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
No problem a couple of weeks ago. I was there at 7, but it wasn't an issue ~ and when I'd asked before (for clarification because I'd heard 2 hours and 1 hour...1 is correct)the girl said it wouldn't be a problem.
So they sold you tickets at 7, jordangirl?
How were your seats?
Yes, at 7. I was alone, so I think they filled in the single spot before breaking up multiple seats ~ I was in Row M? I was able to move at intermission because the women behind me thought it was a sing-a-long. GRRR!!!
Has anyone done this recently?
How is Christina DeCicco btw??
What some may consider spoilers lay within:
Her performance is a little more subtle than Victoria's. With Victoria the nastiness was right there from the start. But the audience didn't catch on that Cindy Lou wasn't really very nice until Lipstick on Your Collar. Some of her early "Ya, think?" lines didn't seem to hit the mark because they lacked the cattiness.
I don't want to say that her performance was bad...it wasn't. It was just very different. And this could be a good thing for people who haven't seen the show before. The audience was completely shocked during the "aha" moment of Lipstick on Your Collar.
I'm going again next month when a friend of mine is visiting from California. It's part of our three show day. I'll post my thoughts again then. I'm sure her characterizations will change as she becomes more comfortable in the role.
Is the show 2 hours WITH a 20 minute intermission or just 2 hours including the intermission?
And are the matinees on Wednesday at 3 or 2? On the website press page, it says 2 PM, but on Telecharge it says 3PM.
The show is a little over two hours if I remember correctly and the information on telecharge about the intermission is wrong. It isn't a 20 min intermission it is the standard 15.
And are the matinees on Wednesday at 3 or 2? On the website press page, it says 2 PM, but on Telecharge it says 3PM.
I believe it's 3pm. I know Sunday and Saturday are 3pm. I'd call the box office just to make sure.
Well I am going to try to get a rush ticket tomorrow for the matinee. I am going to assume Telecharge is right that it is at 3PM cause they wouldn't sell the wrong time.
How is Christina DeCicco btw??
The Marvelous Wonderettes: "Son of a Preacher Man" at Bryant Park 8/6/09
offtopic: Victoria and Christina were phenomenal together on the Wicked tour a couple of years back. When I stage doored MW for Victoria, she informed me that she and Christina were still very very close. Glad to see the role go from one talented performer to another.
Has anyone rushed recently? I'm hoping to go to the 3pm matinee on Wednesday and wondering if I'll be fine just showing up at the box office at 2.
