I know this has been discussed before, and I did do a search, but my little eyes are getting tired and I don't feel like scrolling through all the 'Mary Poppins, Paige Davis, French Davis, Daniel Davis' and any other Davis stuff. Yeah. So! Anyone know when she is leaving? I mean, she's been with the cast for ages!

That is true.... Is she in "New York Minute" with the Olsen's? I am sure that was her...

She was in that movie.

I think she was contracted until April.

I have talked to her a few times about it. We'll see.

If the show has any sense what so ever, they will not let Mary go.

nos hes not leaving in may. last thursday when i told her i read on the boards that she was leaving in may/april she said there all lies and she said that i heard it straight outta her mouth that she aint leaving. her contract ends july 3rd. she also said theres a ton of big black women who want her job

I love Mary! Her voice is like, unmatched, and I dunno! I've met her, just outside the Neil Simon, but she was really, really nice. There was one time she was walking AWAY from the theatre when they were letting everyone in and I had a fit that she wasn't going to be in it. Then it dawned on me she doens't come one until fairly late in Act One. Whoops.

Mary is a peach. I adore her. She is so talented.
I have seen Hairspray three times and all three times she was in it.
The woman is talented.
Lose her and you have no show.

I've seen Hairspray 15 times in New York and she only missed the show once. The 16th time I saw Hairspray was on tour in Palm Beach, and I have to say, that Motormouth was pretty good. No Mary, but good. The tour had an amazing Wilbur though.

I love mary, i've seen her in hairspray over 10 times and she gets better each time. I'll be sad in when she leaves.

I really hope Mary doesn't leave soon. She's such an amazing Motormouth, and just perfectly fits with the character. The role won't be the same without her.
