Really, I'm serious.....

As long as people have something they like and enjoy...why should they like and enjoy everything...

I love MJB, but the performance was a calculated, unfelt, American Idol-style mess. I will say this, though: She was one of the few women who had on a pretty dress. I think this era of fashion is beginning to rival the seventies as the absolute nadir.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Dude - you are either: 1) stone cold deaf, 2) smoking crack, 3) never heard Priscilla Lopez, or 4) should be under supervision 24/7 at Bellevue - SHE SUCKED...didn't sing one note correctly whether you like the song or not (but then again, she pitches all over the place on her own stuff)...get a grip.

As a huge fan of the theatre and R&B, let me state simply that Mary J. Blige is not good vocalist in any genre. I predicted this outcome in another thread upon discovering whom the committee had tapped to perform musical numbers during the telecast. A lesson has been learned I hope.

As a big opinionated whatever blahblahblah, let me state simply that no lessons are ever learned here.
Stop worrying about what I'm doing -- focus instead on what you're eating.

OK..... I just re watched this and i dont know what else to say other than.....EH...... Like I dont know i didnt really quite enjoy it, but it was just kind ...eh.... Although I do agree that it was unecessary and who really had the idea for her to do it? I wasnt impressed. I know that we should show diversity and be open minded about the "reinvention" of these great classics, but dont forget one very impprtant fact.....Its the TONYS, there is no need for pop reinventions because there is nothing pop about the tonys, its broadway and thats all, if you wanna have awards where you mix the two worlds up, go for but call it something else and dont take my tonys away!
Me tarzan nah nah nah nah....
