I heard that was an error. She is going to record a song, not be in the show.

Makes sense that this would be an error. The role that she would be playing in the show is not at all right for her. There is like one song and the story wouldn't be about her. What they should have done is change the character so that it follows the story of an African American girl named Brooklyn...god then the show would be amazingly moving with Mary J in the lead role. Sorry Eden, but it is true. Maybe for the movie, right?

Ew- kidbroadway are you serious? You think Mary J. Blidge could pull off a role in a Broadway show? Did you see her butcher "What I Did For Love" at the Tonys? It was painful.

whats with all the big name singers joining B'Way shows? People are only seeing these shows for them!
