In today's New York Times theatre section there is a "multi-media" item in which Mary Louise Wilson talks briefly about her thoughts on the closing of GREY GARDENS this Sunday. She apparently has no regrets and feels that it is time for her to move on, having been with the show since workshop days three years ago up to the winning of the Tony award and beyond. She talks about how wonderful the audiences have been, how the show has amazingly captured the imagination of young people, and how wonderful it has been to have repeat theatregoers. You see, we are appreciated!
Sorry, I don't know how to provide a direct link to the NYTimes.
I don't understand why people were making comments that it was partially her fault that the show is closing.

Millie-
me either
It most certainly was NOT her fault in the least.
I just watched this about an hour ago...it seems everyone in the cast is pretty relieved it's over.
I finally got the buffer on my computer working and listened. I wouldn't say everyone is relieved-just Mary Louise. After all, it's only her perspective. She doesn't offer anyone else's insight besides her own. And it's good. As an avid gardener, it's good to know I'm not alone...there are other gardeners in the world.
Aww...
What lovely things to say. Cheers to a great performance and a great run Mary Louise!
