Posted: 6/19/11 at 11:56pmA friend of mine randomly got tickets to a preview of The Magdalene off-Broadway. Anyone hear anything about this? Richard Maltby, Jr. is attached. It was actually pretty shocking. Like a love story between two people who just happen to be Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene. Very strange show but I had a good cry by the end.

There have been some controversial stories regarding Mary Magdalene in the past but there was nothing controversial or shocking in this production. As far as ewe or you, baaaaaahhhh! Performances are strong, music enjoyable, the strongest being the closing number.

I REALLY LOVED THIS SHOW. THE MUSIC AND THE PERFORMANCES ARE REALLY AMAZING. I RECOMMEND TO THIS ANYONE WHO WANTS TO TRY SOMETHING
DIFFERENT AND EXPERIENCE SOMETHING SPECIAL IN THE THEATRE!
