Does Mary Poppins use a standard playbill? I thought I heard somewhere on here their using their own programs, but I'm not sure where (And i did search). Is this normal for Disney? I saw a opening night playbill for Tarzan on playbill's storefront. Any help would be appriciated, thanks.

I have several names, one is Julian2. I am also The Opps Girl. But cross me, and I become Bitch Dooku!

They use a Showbill. There's no difference between that and a Playbill. They use stories about Disney Theatricals rather than what you'd find at any other shows.

Mary Poppins uses Showbill, the New Amsterdam Theatre's own version of Playbill. It's similar to Playbill but is centered around the specific show. Less advertisements, more articles and pictures.

Since Lion King moved theaters, do they now use Playbill?

Yup, they actually do.
I just went to see The Lion King last week at the Minskoff and received a Playbill.

Does the Showbill have an interesting design cover, like TLK did?

How to properly use its/it's: Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...

Here is what the Playbill cover looks like (albeit signed by the cast):

Thank you!

I was thinking...they probably have to pay extra for showbills, seeing as how it's mostly just about the show.

Showbill is a division of Playbill.

The articles and advertisments inside are all about Disney/Disney properties. Hence, an ad for The Queen, released by Mirimax, as well as Donny Osmond in Beauty...there are also the obligatory perfume ads and Playbill restaurant listings.

The articles are about PL Travers and Phil Collins.

bway - I stagedoor before the show, to avoid the crowds after.
