Mary Poppins U/S this Weekend

Anyone seeing/seen it between Thursday and tomorrow? I'd love to know how Kristin Carbone is as Mrs. Banks during Rebecca Luker's first absence from the show.

Thank you, Mr. Roxy. Have a great time, by the way.

I am quite sure she will be fine

By the way, i was looking all over for the CD of the London show. Last weekend, Mrs R noticed it & on sale for $ 10 @ that. God knows what they charge @ the theater. In addition, a number of other cd's were on sale including Wicked & Tarzan both @ $ 10

This was @ Virgin in Times Square

I saw it during previews priced at $25. Some elderly ladies were discussing the price, I told them to try a regular CD store, no need for them to pay that much. Take the sale price!

Mrs R loves Practically Perfect & sings it in the car constantly

I suspect my Amex card will get a workout tomorrow when she sees the tee shirts etc. Now she has a bee in her bonnet & wants to see the movie. We will probably go to Virgin & try to get it tomorrow . I will than look to see if Summer of 42 ever made it to the shelves

Rebecca is out because she has been doing a concert verison of Carousel that I am in. She is just the sweetest, most wonderful woman to work with, and she says that Kristin Carbone is fabulous, so no worries for anyone not getting to see Rebecca.

In no way am I worried about Kristin, either. She's fantastic, and I'm merely curious because I won't be able to see the show with her this weekend.

Rebecca looks like a sweetheart as well, good luck with your concert, by the way.

re: Mary Poppins U/S this Weekend

Thanks! We opened last night, and it went wonderfully.

And I realize that you weren't worried, I was just saying that for people who might be. :)

I was worried!
I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

Haha, you liar!

Soapy's coming to see the show tonight, so he can be the one to tell everyone about it, cause I'm definitely biased.

I'm assuming she's playing Julie? I haven't seen Carousel in a while, but that is a soprano role if I remember. I'm sure she's a bit excited to kick in those high notes again.

Yup, she's Julie, and her "If I Loved You" is gorgeous. She's sick, like almost everyone else in the cast, but she still sounds incredible.

When I saw this I thought Ashley was out. Phew, seeing it this weekend and would hate to have missed her.
"Have they come yet?"

I hate buying cds at the theater. Lately it's Amazon for me . . . soooo much cheaper!
