Mary Poppins at The Paramount Theatre in Aurora, IL

The Broadway Series production of Mary Poppins at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora, IL (outside Chicago) has opened to rave reviews. These locally cast, produced and designed productions are some of the best in the Chicago area. I would rate it 4 stars based on the performance I saw last weekend.

Note: Poppins does fly three times in the show including from the proscenium to the balcony (a very long distance in this theatre). While Bert does not walk the outer proscenium, he does some flying tricks of his own.

Was there last weekend (first time at the theatre) and was very impressed with this production! Everything from the decor when you walked in to the actors, sets, choreography, and voices was top notch and well done! The 1700+ theatre goers jumped to their feet for an enthusiastic standing o.
